Hutchison Port Holdings
Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH) is a subsidiary of Hutchison Whampoa Limited and was established in 1994 to manage the Group's port and related services worldwide. At the end of 2012, HPH was the world's second largest container terminal operator as measured by annual throughput (adjusted according to the extent of equity held in each terminal).
Hutchison Whampoa is an international business based in Hong Kong. It is owned by Cheung Kong (Holdings) Limited and its operations include ports and related services, telecommunications, property and hotels, retail and manufacturing and energy and infrastructure divisions.
In April 2006, Hutchison Whampoa agreed to sell 20% stakes in Hutchison Port Holdings and a related company, Hutchison Ports Investments, to Singapore-based rival port operator PSA International.
In March 2011, HPH Trust, a company that comprises several of the Group's port interests in China and Hong Kong was listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange.In 2014, Hutchison Whampoa's Port and Related Services division reported revenues of HK$35.6bn.
